Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting hourly bus drivers to work up to a maximum of 18 hours/week.  The hourly rate for 2024/2025 is $30.30/hour. 

  • The interested applicant would be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a school bus used in the transportation of students on an assigned route
  • Check the operating condition of a school bus before starting a regular run or trip
  • Report any mechanical defects of a bus to the bus garage
  • Instruct/inform students and program participants about practices when entering or exiting a bus and while in transit
  • Maintain orderly conduct of students on the bus

Bus Driver (Part-Time) 24-25 - #1CSEA BD 24-25 #1

Arlington Central School District is currently hiring Bus Drivers for the 2024-2025 school year.  This position offers a minimum of 25 hours per week with opportunities to work extra hours and offers benefits.

Typical work may include but is not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for safe and efficient operation of a school bus used in the transportation of students on an assigned route;

  • Report any mechanical defects of a bus to the bus garage;

Bus Monitor 24-25 #1CSEA BM 24-25 #1

The Arlington Central School District is currently looking to hire Bus Monitors for the start of the 2024/2025 school year.  This position involves responsibility for the routine supervision and care of school-age children as well as the maintenance of order and discipline in a school vehicle.

Typical work may include but is not limited to the following:

  • Maintaining order on and around school buses;
  • Intervenes in confrontations and student fights if necessary, attempt to calm students;
  • May escort students to and from special appointments;
  • Monitors students in parking lots and supervise the loading of buses;
  • May assist in rendering of first aid emergencies;
  • Informs superiors of observations of student behavior;
  • Related work as required.
