Performance Responsibilities: The Supervisor of Special Education provides leadership and support to assigned school buildings and/or special education programs. - Maintain knowledge of current Federal and State laws, regulations, and mandates regarding special education
- Provide information to the Director and/or Assistant Superintendent to ensure District compliance with the required NYS reporting systems for special education, including but not limited to STAC, IHO, Medicaid, and ESY.
- Insure conformance and integrity of District IEPs with federal and state timelines, quality, and procedural requirements
- Work with members of the CSE, CPSE and Subcommittees of the CSE regarding collaboration, process, and practices.
- Work with all parties to resolve special education issues and disputes.
- Adhere to Board policies and District Code of Conduct
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education and/or the Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Personnel Services
