Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a full-time 12-Month Senior Typist.  This position is in the Department of Human Resources at the Central Administration Office and is a Confidential Non-Unit position. This position is responsible for the accurate performance of a wide variety of increasingly difficult keyboarding and clerical duties and requires attention to detail, computer expertise and the ability to multitask under pressure.    

Typical work may include but is not limited to the following:

  • Performs clerical support functions including project management, database management, record maintenance, skilled keyboarding, calendar management and department reception;
  • Orders supplies for the department;
  • Directs telephone and in-person callers and provides routine information and assistance;
  • Other duties as required by the department Administrator

Microcomputer TechnicianMicrocomputer Tech 7-1-2025

Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a full-time 12-Month Microcomputer Technician.  This position involves responsibility for performing regularly scheduled routine preventative maintenance and malfunction-generated repairs on, and installation of, computer equipment such as computer terminals, printers, personal computers, appropriate cable, micrographic equipment and other related peripherals and/or hardware.

The Microcomputer Technician's primary assignment will be to maintain an ongoing program of equipment and software support, maintenance and repair ensuring that all computers, chromebooks, computer networks and computer related devices are functioning at optimal levels to support instructional and administrative applications of computer technology.

Typical Work may include but is not limited to the following:

  • Uses diagnostics and system tests to determine causes for malfunction in microcomputer system and peripherals;
  • Performs regularly scheduled preventative maintenance
  • Disassembles, repairs and assembles microcomputer systems and printers;
  • Keeps abreast of changes in technology and in the microcomputer field;
  • Other duties as required by department Administrator
