This position is a Competitive Civil Service Position and requires the applicant to be:

  1. Reachable on an existing Dutchess County Human Resources Certification of Eligible List; or,
  2. Currently working in, or previously held an Occupational Therapist civil service title; or,
  3. Other candidates who have equivalent education and licensing are encouraged to apply and will be considered as allowed per Civil Service regulations.

Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a temporary full-time Physical Therapist (May-June). This position involves the responsibility for physical therapy casework in a program designed to meet the needs of selected individuals in the school population.  

Typical Work Activities:

  • Perform initial screenings, evaluations and consultations for students referred to the program;
  • Develop school-based goals, treatment objectives and therapeutic activities;
  • Maintain case notes and other written documentation as required by school policy or by state law;
  • Asses and make recommendations regarding adaptive and orthotic equipment needs and monitors equipment status; and,
  • Related work as required.
