Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a full-time 1st Shift Custodial Worker.  This position will work a Wednesday-Sunday work schedule.  Typical work includes simple cleaning tasks under the general supervision of District Custodians.  Work may include, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Dusting
  • Washing walls, windows, woodwork, bathrooms
  • Sweep, mop, wash floors
  • Strip and wax floors
  • Maintain building exteriors
  • Gather and dispose of refuse
  • Clean and polish furniture
  • Assist in minor repairs
  • Assist in snow removal

Groundskeeper (Tues-Sat)CSEA GDKPR (Tues-Sat) 7-1-2026

Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a full-time Groundskeeper (Tuesday-Saturday) with full benefits.   This position is responsible for the routine manual work of maintaining grounds and equipment found in a school and recreation program.  Work is done under general supervision.

Typical work may include but is not limited to the following:

  • Mows, rakes and cuts grass;
  • Cleans the grounds of trash, debris and similar materials;
  • Maintains lawns, grounds, playing fields and playground equipment;
  • Levels, grades, removes stones, plants and cares for trees and shrubs;
  • Removes snow from walkways and other areas;
  • Maintains equipment used in grounds maintenance;
  • Assists in maintenance of roads and driveways;
  • Related work as required
