  1. Currently working in, or previously held a permanent Typist civil service title; or,
  2.  Other candidates who have equivalent education and licensing are encouraged to apply and will be considered as allowed per Civil Service regulations.

Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a 12-Month Typist.  This position will be at Union Vale Middle School and provides confidential secretarial and clerical support for their building and related administrators.  

Typical work may include but is not limited to the following:

  • General clerical duties including telephone skills, typing/word processing, filing and office organization
  • Greet visitors, staff and students in a professional and accommodating manner
  • Collate materials
  • Organize materials for mailings
  • Open and distribute mail
  • Other duties as required by the department Administrator
