This position is a Competitive Civil Service Position and requires the applicant to be:

  1. Reachable on an existing Dutchess County Human Resources Certification of Eligible List; or,
  2. Currently working in, or previously held a Typist civil service title; or,
  3. Other candidates who have equivalent education and licensing are encouraged to apply and will be considered as allowed per Civil Service regulations.

Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a 12-Month Typist with full benefits at our Arlington High School.  This position will provide confidential secretarial and clerical support for their building and related administrators.  

Typical work may include but is not limited to the following:

  • General clerical duties, including telephone skills, typing/word processing, filing and office organization
  • Greet visitors, staff and students in a professional and accommodating manner
  • Collate materials
  • Organize materials for mailings
  • Open and distribute mail
  • Other duties as required by the department Administrator
