Job Description

Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a 1.0 FTE Anticipated Temporary Special Education Teacher in our Secondary Responsive Support Program effective approximately November 13, 2024 through June 20, 2025.  The Responsive Support Program is a new program for students having difficulty in their traditional classroom setting.  The program will focus on social, emotional and behavior skills using the Dialectical Behavior Skills framework.  The ideal candidate may have experience with students who have experienced school avoidance and emotionality (either inward or outward).  Additionally, the candidate should be flexible, positive and willing to help build this new program into the supportive environment students need. 

Salary: $61,649-$66,053(pro-rated)

Job Qualifications

Minimum NYS Certification of Special Education –or- Students With Disabilities 7-12 is required.   Additional certification in Math 7-12 or Science 7-12 are encouraged to apply. Retirees are also encouraged to apply.
