Job Description

Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for one (1) Anticipated Full Time Probationary Special Education Teacher (Secondary Level 7-12) at our Arlington High School for the 2022-2023 school year.

The Life Skills program is designed for students with cognitive disabilities.  Students in this program might have alternate assessment(s) such as NYS Alternate Assessment (NYSAA) or the CDOS Credential. 

This classroom environment is structured and small in student ratio to teacher with a classroom teaching assistant.  Positive behavioral and self-regulation strategies are part of this class, as well as encouraged work-based learning opportunities for the students. Instruction in self-care and daily living skills are also part of this program.

Candidates with experience in the area of Life Skills are encouraged to apply.

Job Qualifications

Minimum NYS Certification of Students With Disabilities 7-12 or Special Education.
