*** This position is a Competitive Civil Service Position and requires the applicant to be:

1. Reachable on an existing Dutchess County Human Resources Certification of Eligible List; or,
2. Currently working in, or previously held a Senior Cook Manager civil service title; or,
3. Other candidates who have equivalent education and licensing are encouraged to apply and will be considered as allowed per Civil Service Regulations.

Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a full-time, 12-Month Senior Cook Manager.  This position offers a full benefits package.  This position is responsible for the preparation and cooking of food in large quantities, as well as the supervision of employees and the coordination of a central kitchen and its satellite service sites.  

Typical work may include, but not be limited to:

• Supervising and participating in the preparation, cooking and storage of food, including the operation of all institutional kitchen appliances;
• Supervises and participates in the cleaning of food preparation and serving areas, kitchen equipment and dining areas;
• Maintains records of food shipments received, expended and delivered to various sites
• Related work as required

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

EITHER:

1. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate's degree in nutrition, dietetics, institutional management, or a closely related field, and two (2) years of work experience in cooking large quantities of food which includes the responsibility for direct supervision of support personnel; OR:
2. Four (4) years of work experience as described in (A); OR:
3. An equivalent combination of training and experience as described in (A) and (B) above.
   
   
   SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Eligibility for a New York State Motor Vehicle Operator's License at time of application, and possession of said license at time of appointment.
