Job Description

This position is a Competitive Civil Service Position and requires the applicant to be:

  1. Currently working in, or previously held a Behavior Analyst civil service title; or,
  2. Other candidates who have equivalent education and licensing are encouraged to apply and will be considered as allowed per Civil Service regulations.

Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a Behavior Analyst effective the 2026/2027 school year.  This is considered a full-time position with full benefits.  Interested applicants should have experience with students with Autism and behavioral challenges.  This position will provide direct and indirect behavioral support, consultation, and training to students in both general education and special education settings, to promote access to learning and the development of appropriate social, emotional, and behavioral regulation skills.  The interested applicant must be able to conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), to write Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) and to provide consultation and professional learning.

This position requires the interested applicant to be flexible, collaborative and committed to partnering with students, families and staff to help students develop skills for lifelong success.  The selected individual must also be a student-centered, compassionate person with excellent communication skills, goal-oriented and able to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Job Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EITHER:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or a related field AND two (2) years experience working with intellectually and developmentally disabled or at-risk students; OR:
  2. Associates Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field AND four (4) years experience working with intellectually and developmentally disabled or at-risk students; OR:
  3. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience between the limits of (A) and (B) above.

    NOTE: Your degree or college credit must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education.

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA, BCBA-D), or as a Board-Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).
