Job Description

Arlington Central School District is seeking a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our collaborative team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students while working in a supportive, innovative, and growth-oriented environment.

As a Special Class Teacher, you will:

  • Design and implement engaging instruction tailored to students with autism, communication disorders, and learning differences.
  • Apply evidence-based practices, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and VB-MAPP assessments.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of educators, therapists, and families to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Use data to drive instruction and monitor progress, ensuring every student grows academically, socially, and emotionally.

Job Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • NYS Certification: Special Education or Students With Disabilities – All Grades or Students with Disabilities 1-6 and 7-12 combined, Students with Disabilities B-2
  • Experience:        Working with students with autism, communication and feeding challenges
  • Skills:                    Strong communication, classroom management and data-driven instruction
  • Qualities:            Empathetic, creative, and adaptable educator who thrives in a team setting
