Job Description

Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a 0.5 FTE Anticipated Part-time School Social Worker in our Elementary Responsive Support Program for the 2025-2026 school year.   The Responsive Support Program is a new program for students having difficulty in their traditional classroom setting.  The program is designed for approximately 8 students per classroom.  This program will focus on social, emotional and behavior skills using the Dialectical Behavior Skills framework.  The ideal candidate may have experience with students who have experienced school avoidance and emotionality (either inward or outward).  Additionally, the candidate should be flexible, positive and willing to help build this new program into the supportive environment students need.

The candidate would be required, but not limited to the following:

  • Develop intervention strategies to increase academic success.
  • Work with parents to facilitate their support in their children's school adjustment.
  • Assist teachers with behavior management.
  • Provision of evidence-based education, behavior, and mental health services. 

 

Salary: $61,649-$66,053(pro-rated)

Job Qualifications

Minimum NYS Certification of School Social Worker.
