Job Description

The Arlington Central School District, a unique culturally diverse district with influences of urban, suburban and rural settings, is located in the Mid-Hudson region of Dutchess County New York.  We educate nearly 9,000 students in 11 schools, including eight elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school.

We are currently seeking applicants for an Assistant Principal on the elementary level with special education responsibilities, effective July 1, 2024, for a Grades K-5 building with a student population of approximately 600.  Candidates must be highly-motivated school leaders with a demonstrated ability to impact student learning.  Successful candidates must possess strong communication skills; have a deep understanding of child development and effective pedagogical practices; commitment to the development of the whole child and the belief that all children can learn.  Interested applicant should also have a record of successful experience as a teacher and administrator with preferred experience in special education and/or school psychology. 

 

Salary: $113,000-$116,000

Job Qualifications

Applicant must have a valid NYS administrative certification (SAS, SDA, SBL).
