Job Description

Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a full-time Bus Driver/Automotive Mechanic with full benefits.   This position involves the operation of an automotive vehicle used to transport students and/or passengers and the efficient performance of a variety of automotive repair and machinist tasks.  

Typical work may include but is not limited to the following:

• Performs skilled operations in making general repairs on gasoline and diesel motor equipment;
• Grinds valves and fits new bearing, pistons and rings;
• Assembles and times engines;
• Operates a bus on a regular schedule and/or on special trips;
• Checks operating condition of the bus before starting trip;
• Maintains orderly conduct of students and passengers while on bus;
• Related work as required.

Job Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Class B permit with P&S endorsements (training available upon hiring)
• Two years of experience performing skilled automotive repair work or comparable courses in automotive mechanics and repair plus one year of experience performing skilled automotive repair work.
• Must be 21 years of age
